Data Collected
We may collect the following information:
- Contact information (name, email, phone) when you fill out a form
- Data related to the use of the free scanner: the URL you analyze, and, if you choose to receive the report, your first name, email and the qualification information you provide (site type, role)
- Your email when you request to download a sample report
- Browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and anonymized conversion events via analytics tools
- Technical information necessary for the proper functioning of the site
Security scanner and reports
Our security scanner is free and usable without providing personal information: you get your results on screen without signing up. If you request the detailed PDF report, we collect your first name and email to send it to you and, where relevant, to contact you about our cybersecurity services.
This data may be stored in our own (self-hosted) management tool and is used solely for commercial follow-up. You can request its deletion or unsubscribe from emails at any time (unsubscribe link in every email).
Purpose of Data Processing
Your data is used for:
- Responding to your contact or quote requests
- Sending you the security report or sample report you requested
- Contacting you about our services if you have authorized us to do so
- Improving our website and services through navigation statistics
- Ensuring the security and proper functioning of the site
Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of your data is based on your consent (contact forms, cookies) or on our legitimate interest (statistical analysis, site security).
Data Retention
Your data is retained for a maximum period of 3 years from your last contact with us, unless otherwise required by law.
Cookies and storage
This site only sets the cookies and browser storage entries listed below. It uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies.
Strictly necessary or tied to a feature you request (no prior consent)
- rs_locale (cookie, first-party, SameSite=Lax, readable by scripts): the language you chose with the language switcher, used to open the site in that language. Duration: 1 year.
- rs-theme (local storage): light or dark theme. Duration: no expiry, until you clear it.
- rs-rdv (session storage): whether the appointment panel was shown or closed. Duration: until the tab is closed.
Subject to your consent: audience analytics
Audience analytics are run by this site itself, with no cookie, no identifier and no personal data. They send anonymous events to our own server (page or action name, language, page type and, for the scanner, only the hostname of the scanned site, without path or query). These events contain no IP address, no cookie and no scanned content. They are sent only after you click Accept analytics, and never when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page; withdrawing stops sending immediately. Unless the operator has enabled it, no audience analytics are performed.
Third-party content: when configured, the scanner page loads the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-abuse script and the contact page may embed a Calendly booking widget. These services are responsible for any cookies they set; this site does not control them.
You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object
To exercise these rights, contact us at: alex@redsentinel.fr
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration.
Data Transfers
Our website is hosted by Vercel (USA). Data may be transferred to countries outside the EU as part of this hosting, with appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR.
Complaints
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with regulations, you may file a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority): www.cnil.fr
